1、 What does CNAS certification mean

CNAS stands for China National Accreditation Service for Conformity Assessment

CNAS certification refers to a national accreditation body approved and authorized by the Certification and Accreditation Administration of China, which is responsible for the accreditation work of accreditation bodies, laboratories, inspection bodies and other related organizations.

That is to say, in China, approval from CNAS is required for certification bodies, laboratories, and inspection agencies. According to the official statement of CNAS, CNAS evaluates the management, technical, personnel, and operational capabilities of certification bodies, laboratories, and inspection agencies in accordance with the accreditation standards.
